The Historic Glenwood Brooklyn Neighborhood is situated just north of downtown Raleigh, along both sides of Glenwood Avenue between Peace Streetand Wade Avenue.

Two events not to be missed in this neighborhood are the Garden Tour and the Tour of Historic Homes.  Each Spring, celebrating the burst of life and color NC is famous for, Glenwood Brooklyn presents a glorious Garden Tour.  And each December, the Tour of Historic Homes showcases the best of Raleigh Architecture and the area's well preserved pieces of history, adorned in their holiday glory.

The dominant architectural styles in the neighborhood include Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Craftsman bungalows, and transitional styles. Some of the features you will see in the area are asymmetrical facades, fluted columns, steep gable roofs, decorative siding, fish-scale shingles, and four-leaf gable vents.
